Next XKCD should do a plot of the readability/lix number of newspaper copy over time. For science.

I have thought this for some time (I love to read old books and newspapers and it's really same shit, different pile, well, year) and I find it comforting that I'm not a special snowflake living in special times. Takes some of the pressure off anyway.
