Ere/Metamoderna
The by Fisker developed ERE is a philosophy, a practical one. With practical I mean that one can apply this philosophy in daily life. Yes, it is a complex philosophy, but with hard work it seems to be a reachable goal for people who has some luck, have enough brain- and enduring-power. In a practical way it results in a personal freedom to choose how to live and a general goal to strive to a more prudent, environmental safer world. ERE assists and guides you to develop these practical goals. To develop a broader view of one’s possibilities and of one’s world view.
The Freinacht books* about metamoderna are further enlightening both goals: they show how we (can) develop as persons and how we (can) develop as societies. The world -system is farther developed than us as persons and our societies. We as persons and society are retarded in comparison to our very developed-world system. The metamoderna philosophy helps to diminish this retardation, and so avoiding further chaos and suffering. It is also practical because it guides and assists you to study and apply personal development and development as society.
You can reach and practice the ERE philosophy in your life.
The metamoderna way of life has a different time span. To reach the metamoderna society will span generations.
Everyone who is touched by these metamoderna (also complex) ideas can be a seed to develop her/himself to adapt to this metamoderna way/view of life and give the wheel of society some energy in a new direction.
As ERE laid out that it can work in many starting positions salary/workman/entrepreneur/
The metamoderna way can work with all kind of political stands. It sees itself not as a better stand but as an inclusive way of thinking. It is not a “new age” mystic way. It is precise and clear. It is not necessary (or even possible) that everybody would become a”metamoderna”. It’s goal is to work to a (global) society in which as much as possible persons can live a wellbeing life. Not as an Utopia but a real goal.
So ERE and Metamoderna are adaptive philosophies in a positive way and (as I think) they are complementary.
What are my forumites opinions about this combination?
*A Metamodern Guide to Politics book one (The Listening Society) and book two (Nordic Ideology)
Nb 1 With careful writing/thinking we can avoid taking political stands and avoid closing this thread. The Listening Society has been discussed in a separate thread.
Nb 2 Freinacht warns to read and use his guides with care as there are many pitfalls to avoid in a topic like this. Those warnings are elaborated in his books. I do expect that everyone who participates in this thread has read (studied) at least “the nordic ideology”
