I would reiterate that non-climber are more than welcome. I myself haven't climbed in month. The spots we'll go too are nice and accessible to anyone who can walk (if someone who can't walk is actually interested in joining, a few spots are wheelchair accessible, altough the camping spots nearby probably aren't. pm me in case of interest.)

It looks like we are getting a plot at an allotment site in which case we pass this time because we will be busy growing food.

However, we miss @jean so are heading across anyway, but earlier.

Yeah, mayyyybe. Though there are other reasons too, with a notable one being that I’ve used a lot of my holidays harting around in Spain and can’t be bothered to come flying for only a weekend without making it a minimum of a week.

However, Easter kindly provides me with two bank holidays so at a stretch I am doing some overtime now to reach a week and there we go!

ETA, also this is one of what I feel like pain of living on an island and so far north, travelling direction mainland is always a bit rigid and most often flying. I’m currently building a vision of myself in 5 years and that person is going to be well suited to anchor on the continent I think.

Woah! Seems like there've been quite a few developments since the last time I checked in, very excited that this is all coming together

My current plan is to join for 25–28, and will be booking my train tickets etc. over the coming week.

Re: equipment, do we know anyone in SAC Biel? It seems like they do rent out equipment (but only to members?), so that's possibly an option if we have a contact somewhere. I could also rent some equipment from the local club here, but then I'd have to carry them on the train ride over and back :X

I'll bring my climbing shoes, harness, helmet, reverso, lanyard, carabineers, 1 rope, 1 set of quickdraws (topo says 10, so I'll bring 15 just to be safe?). I'll also be taking the train @muu, don't let that discourage you if you have access to free/cheap gear

I think the most important for people to bring are climbing shoes, yeah? (and if you're a stickler for safety a helmet). everything else we can pass around and take turns? It's probably doable to rent a pair of shoes from your local climbing gym.

yupp, shoes i will def be bringing, i haven't decided what else exactly yet, will update here once i do! +1 to sharing and taking turns tho
