MORL is up over $20. That's definitely the one that got away. :(

Woo hoo, saved all those puts I sold. Now I don't feel so stupid for buying Bonds and justified for continuing to own Gold while moving towards PP...

So, I took my first big speculative gamble.

1 TSLA 03/22/2014 190.00 P

Cost me $3,075.00. I need to see 160.00 to break even, but we saw that less than a month ago and I have until after Tesla's Q4 earnings come in to see what happens.

Nice call workathome, already nicely ITM... Any plans to take profit?

The trade was triggered by a report that domestic sales were down, but this may have actually been false premise, as another report is out today that Mercedes-Benz has all time high sales last month. However, everywhere I look people are suddenly turning negative on TSLA. Last night, Motley Fool sent an article out about how the stock is over priced, now a Youtube video showing the new model catching on fire, and this morning all the top Google News stories are negative. It seems best to try and ride some further downward momentum. I certainly didn't expect to see an immediate drop, and the option still has all the time value priced in.

I second guessed myself and closed for $893.29 profit. Also closed out a GLD call for $429.76 profit. It stopped being fun because I couldn't focus on work and wanted to watch the ticker all day.

does anyone have any opinions on the stock AT ?

They are offering a huge dividend currently and the stock price may very well be on sale??

I'm considering buying some...

A quick look at AT's income statement shows they've been losing increasingly larger amounts of money annually. Quarterly statements don't look much better, so it's hard to believe a turnaround is in effect.

Great call TSLAs up again, if I get an immediate significant profit on an option trade I usually take it too.

Thanks, I wanted to be in it for the "long-term" because of overvaluation, but it seems the immediate volatility leaves room to take profits. Trying once again here:

Ugh, I'm a day trader. Closed TSLA for a modest $350 profit.

I will probably wait until after the debt-ceiling issue is over, as people seem to actually be reacting to it in fear. Would like to buy a put again around $190 and sit on it for a few months. I should also stop spamming this thread.

Welcome to the dark side WAH. :D Sometimes trading makes sense. Sometimes buy and hold makes sense. Sometimes both.

I'm thinking mREITs are going to take it on the chin today...

If O goes down in sympathy, it would be a good buy.

Edit: Maybe the announcement about Yellen will offset it? Haha, this is why I don't have a trades in today.

Missed the TSLA smash, but now I'm into GLD calls again. Because, apparently, the market thinks Yellen printing endless money is bearish for Gold...

@workathome: Yeah, I don't get the gold drop at all. Makes zero sense.

Isn't Yellen seen as more of the same? That would be good for stocks, so money might move out of gold and into stocks.

My day trading career backfired!

Doubled-down on GLD at the new low this morning.

I own GDX and GDXJ long, but was trying to make a quick buck off GLD volatility. Unfortunately my recent timing was off and I'm only really breaking even after today.

yeah, I personally don't like GLD right now. I think it is due to fall even more...I don't like the look of the long term chart. Conversely, I do like the long term chart of GDX a lot. I'm tempted to buy more SLV too.
