I ran across this list this morning:

While it is directed at people retiring at "standard" ages, it struck me that it was not age-specific at all -- and that there is no reason not to work towards these goals at any age.
Item 5 in particular implies that ERE should be the norm, and 7 that "working" -- i.e., participating in meaningful, productive activity -- during "retirement" should be part of the plan.

Dragline, I have laid myself along the 8 habits. They fit (more or less), especially nr 6: explore, dream, discover, choose yes over no, active over passive, adventure over inertia.

And yes, I feel myself happy as Larry. So it must be a good list :)

Funny how the rules to live by when you retire are the rules to live by before you retire.
The first may be a quote from Fight Club, but all of them can be found in Fight Club. Such a great movie.
