@ BennKar
As stated in my initial entry, I'm not to keen on SS to put food on my table. My trust is in the free economy, I'll move assets to other countries through Interactive Brokers when the time is right. At the moment I'm working & saving like a mad man, and also building a business. Dunno how much months I can sustain this level of commitment but I think ERE is totally possible in Portugal. Just follow this thread ;-)

Damn, I'm already at month 15 of the ERE plan and things recently got a bit out of hand. Although my outlay is still the same (very low), sometimes I don't update my expense spreadsheet because I'm busy all the time. :/
I'm slowly moving way from leaving with my parents, but still in the same multi-family home. I have now a new computer room :o. My next improvement is a small solar panel system to power my machines so I'm studying that and searching for prices. Hopefully I can make a budget for the entire house in the following months.

Its good you're doing ok, but Portugal looks to be really messed up now. With that large loan from the European Central Bank, Portugal is going to be in for a rought ride for a while. This summer should be interesting over there, to say the least.

I can't comment on the overall problem since I don't follow mainstream politics nor watch TV. My life is practically the same except I have to take alternative routes to work because of the damn union strikes. I'm on the private sector and still haven't been hit.
At least I hope to see the streets with less flashy BMWs bought on credit. And also the destruction of the hyper-inflated real state market.

At 22% of the target ERE amount. ERE is going to be harder then I previously thought.
I quited my old work to run my business full-time and is doing OK but not great. Only now I'm hoarding some equity in it. Hopefully this will turn into something big. The good side is that I don't commute or pretend to like my boss. I also work in underwear most of the time since all is made trough the interwebz.
Six small payday loans ATM. Cash-flow is starting to increase. Holy smokes.
Right now I'm living with my father again since my mother passed away last month.
Hopefully I'll regain confidence to update this journal. Yea.. I'm kind of failing at this thing :/

@ Don A very nice blog! Sorry to hear about your mother ... my advice, as someone who also owns a business, is to set a clear pass/fail target .. meaning - in 12 months I will have X thousands of EUR profit or I will close down the business to do something else ... otherwise you might wake up in 10 years with nothing.
Just my 2 cents :)
Keep working at it!

Thanks for the suggestion. My problem until now was wasting my salary on websites and content. Not exactly a problem of income but mismanagement and being overoptimistic. Some of my sites lost revenue and the ad rates are getting low because of the recession.
