Much appreciated. I'll try to remember. We've only had one good chili year out of 10, but the payoff here would definitely be worth it. I usually spike my pasta sauce with stuff like this: https://www.amazon.com/Bomb-Beyond-Insa ... No need to send anything in return, my way of saying thanks for creating & hosting this community.
Will send a larger amount of seeds from unnamed variety boxes* I've bought (unnamed b/c cheaper) and also a few special breeds.

I have an HTC Vive I got off a buddy that I’m willing to part with if anyone is interested in trying VR. Still works well, only game I’ve tried is Skyrim VR with loads of graphics mods, and it was absolutely terrifying.
You pay shipping, and you decide if you want the tripods that the sensors have shipped to you, or if you want to try and source something yourself (they are relatively large). Everything else should fit in one of the flat rate boxes (or some random box by weight, whatever you want / is cheaper).

Anyone have a heart rate monitoring chest strap they'd be willing to send my way? I have a fitness watch already, but I'm interested in getting better data while I row in various settings.
Re: Forum members swapping trash and treasure by flatrate mail
Anyone interested in this ==> https://hackinformer.com/2014/05/20/asu ... 1t-review/ ?
I bought it 10 years ago, and it was a fantastic tablet. With the keyboard, it replaced my home laptop for a long time. Even 5 or so years later, when official Android builds didn't work on it anymore, I revitalized it with various mods found on xdaforums. Currently it is "rooted" and loaded with a "KatKiss" mod - possibly this one - https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-n-7-1-2-kat ... 9.3540259/
The main issue - when I moved to the place I am living now a couple of years back, AT&T installed a newer model router/wifi ... and apparently this old tablet's WiFi hardware isn't compatible. Late last year I confirmed it still worked at the library and a coffee shop, just doesn't connect to newer hardware. So I bought a new tablet.
Other issues / known items - it's old. 10 years old, which is a lifetime for regular computers, let alone a tablet. I don't believe anyone has made a mod for it in 6 years.
I thought I would offer here, in case anyone wanted it. I know people have posted about attempting various installs of different OSes on old phones, so I didn't know if anyone would want to play around with this.
Includes tablet, detachable keyboard, protective case (that holds either or both), charging cable (not original, bought last year) ... I could probably scrounge up a small and old SD card if you needed one, just let me know.

Re: Forum members swapping trash and treasure by flatrate mail
As part of the forum's minimalist challenge I went through my overstuffed bookshelves and removed a yard of books. Given the subject matter I figure I'd give the forum a first crack before letting them go to to the Little Free Library down the street as part of the challenge.
I'll ship mediamail to anyone in the US who paypals me the shipping cost. The books are free.

Re: Forum members swapping trash and treasure by flatrate mail
The latest few posts in the Fix-It thread about Kindles reminded me that I had an old PaperWhite in some storage box, it being replaced a few years back. It was replaced because someone gifted me a new one, not for any fault in the Kindle.
It is a Kindle Paperwhite 1 (2012) - first section of the serial number is B024 if you want to Google the model for more information. I verified today that I can charge it and power it up, and I did a device reset on it to clear everything off of it.
If anyone is interested, it would be whatever the cost of shipping would be...
I can't seem to find the charging cable, but it's a standard micro-usb. If I find it before I ship, I'll include it. It's in a relatively beat-up case, which I'll leave on as further protection during shipping, and you can discard if you want.

Re: Forum members swapping trash and treasure by flatrate mail
As part of the minimalist challenge I offer the following:
I'm probably not going sailing anytime soon or anymore. However, I have a complete setup for yacht-racing from thursday night beer cans at the yacht club to ocean-racing in the Atlantic or Pacific for a size L/XL male.
This includes
autoinflatable offshore life jacket
(mostly) waterproof jacket/bib-pants at the good-enough level (will eat a wave, but looks like sailor-trash, you'll fit right in)
double safety tether (let's hope you'll never need that!!)
waterproof strobe light, whistle, sheep foot rigging knife, etc. (mandatory safety gear for offshore)
bulletproof (literally as in .22LR resistance) eye glasses
non-marking dinghy shoes suitable for deck work (US-size 10-11 or so, I'll have to check)
It would be around $500 to buy this gear.
I'm not really willing to part it out as the remaining stuff would be kinda useless w/o the whole of it.
I'm willing to trade it (generously) for parts to get me started on upgrading to a desktop/gaming computer at around the 2020 tech-level as long as it can run Win11 w/o creative hacks. I'm looking for a mid-ATX tower OR a mobo+CPU that's better than i7-4790 OR a GPU that's better than GTX1060/6GB.

More books to give away for the cost of shipping:
I'll ship mediamail to anyone in the US who paypals me the shipping cost. The books are free. Note that media shipping rates follow an y=ax+b cost where y is the price, x is the weight in lbs, b=$3.39, and a=$0.74/lbs (2024 numbers). So it pays to get more than one book.
