Hmmm... maybe you could provide some of the pluses and minuses that you have come up with on your own before others chime in here?

We live in a condo (only two units).

Pros: cheaper, more available in dense urban areas (where we prefer living), get to split some building costs (snow shoveling, roof repairs, etc.) with another party

Cons: Having to negotiate with another person to make big building repairs or improvements on our unit which requires an easement into their space
