Happy Thanksgiving
Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Don't sell yourself short! Green bean casserole topped with those freaking addictive fried onions is exactly the type of dish that sustains a thousand great Thanksgiving memories.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Or day of mourning, apparently, according to some native American people. Can't really blame them.

Happy Thanksgiving all!
Once again thankful for Jacob doing such a good job at running this place and everyone's contributions over the years.

Happy Thanksgiving!
My wife made that green bean casserole this year @7w5. She was even saying, "why am I making this? my mom says this is what people do (her mom did not grow up in the USA)." I didn't grow up with it either but my aunt usually makes it. The turkey is cooking in the oil-less (aka infrared) turkey fryer with fresh sprigs of rosemary from the garden. This is the first year we've had Thanksgiving at home with just us (wife and kids). I do like seeing family for the holidays but I'm happy to have the comforts of home (and the lack of driving).

Happy Thanksgiving!
Just finished some brisket and mushroom gravy. Pears. Blueberry turnovers. Yum.
Good to be healthy and safe at home with my oven going. Time for a nap.
Cheers!

Happy Thanksgiving!
No green bean casserole for me this year. Ate by myself in isolation motel room. Zoomed with my extended family, and 3 different people offered to bring me a plate of goodies, but I’m actually quite happy to forgo this year. I did microwave a sweet potato.

Happy Thanksgiving! Just heading back from my brother's house. It was nice. Hope you aren't in a food coma.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Well, I'm late to the party. Hope those who observe it had a fine day. I had my first Thanksgiving with my "back home" family since 1987 which was nice. I also observe Black Friday--by staying home and hiding. I don't know if it's still as big a shopping day as it used to be, but I'm guessing it would still be a miserable day to me to be out and about.
Edit: I just noticed this thread is 3 years old! Nonetheless, my sentiments still apply.
