So, if you have stuff that you use sparingly but is occupying space and could free up some cash, what would you want to get rid off and how much $ would you expect for it. For me:
- Yamaha DGX-505 Digital Piano = $400
- Roland EG 101 Keyboard = $500
- Takahashi TOA 130 telescope = $6000
- Atlas EQG Mount with GOTo for telescope = $1300
- Denkmeier Binoviewer for use with telescope = $1200
- Televue Wide Angle lenses, Solar Filters, CCD Camera = $2000
- Nikon FM 10 Camera (35mm-70mm lens), Tripod, Vivitar (17-25 lens), Flash, UV and Polarizer lens = $150
- Ibanez AW 100 Guitar = $250
- Some Furniture, Bed Frame = $300
- Volquartsen 17HMR rifle = $1200
- Some computer Stuff etc = $500
So about $14-$15K which originally cost me in the $20K range. Rifle and Telescope I am still conflicted about since I think one might actually be useful/hunt/self-defense...and the telescope is really top of the line and they don't seem to depreciate much since there is not a whole lot of innovation/obsolescence there .. maybe I should hold it till I can have my own place under dark desert skies and permanently house it in a little dome in my backyard.
What's in your closet?

Stereo that plays: records, tapes, AM/FM radio, and CDs except that part broke. At this point I'd give it away for free. Originally bought for $120? It was a birthday present.
Two acoustic guitars, $50 each. One originally bought for $150, other bought for $50 secondhand.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I mostly have junk. I do have two recumbent bicycles. I would probably want to keep one of them because someday I would like to try a bicycle tour. I have some regular bikes, too, but I'd keep one for commuting and shopping.
Otherwise, I mostly have old junk nobody would want. Old stereo, old clothes, old backpacking gear and a lot of bird cages.
