We hiked the Fishermans Trail from north to south last year in May and it was PERFECT weather + lots of beautiful flowers. The sections from Porto Covo to Sagres were the best.....highly recommend it if you're into that sort of thing. It was quite empty and the villages were welcoming.

Yesterday we walked into Sagres and today we are back in Lagos. The Fishermen's Trail was incredible. A big thank you to 2Birds1Stone for the suggestion. There were very few sections where we did not have full access to the coast. It is mindblowing that it is possible to walk for nearly 200 kilometers along this spectacular coast without having to detour around private properties. The villages and small towns along the way were very nice. Now that EU tourist season is approaching, prices for accommodations were expensive, but otherwise it was a dream.
I mentioned before that we did an "Estate Sale" before leaving on the trip, where we sold almost everything. Just before the sale started, I looked at one of my walls of art and said to myself, "If I sell one of these paintings for the asking price, I am going to buy an Insta360 camera." I have wanted one of these 360 cameras for years and watched for one to pop up at the swap meet, but they never did. On the first morning of the sale, one of the expensive paintings sold, but I still hedged. Then a second. Finally, by the end of the weekend the entire wall had sold. I ordered the camera and have had a lot of fun learning how to use it.
Regarding the fall I took last month after arriving in Lisbon... well, the swelling of my wrist subsided, but it has not healed. I am heading to a clinic tomorrow for an xray and consult. I have been unable to do pushups or any upper body workout since the injury. I am saddened by how quickly I have atrophied.
We have booked another week here in Lagos and then.... we have no idea. Feels good.
