@fingeek
With an optimistic outlook - it could be very near.
I want to have plenty of time for travel, to do it without a lot of extensive plane tickets etc. I haven't been abroad in a few years... I do dabble with music recording but I'd like to spend a few weeks solid really get solid stuff done.

Big news - jumping ship early. Decided to resign for the end of March.
I should have £350k networth at that point, be aged 52.

Yep, me too. This stock market correction isn't well timed - but I laugh in the face of adversity.

This month I need to create a very detailed budget and monitor my expenses completely for the next few months.
The problem is I that I generally spend a lot more money in the spring and summer due to the increase in social events...

Too late for OMY now, right?

How are your cash reserves - enough to carry you through the next 12-24 months? How long till you can start drawing pensions? Any option to sell car or some stuff when the need arises? Also, did you consider getting a lodger?

@George the original one
I may be ok, there is now nothing I can spend money on. Can't go out, to a restaurant etc.

@Bankai
Yep. Have money floating about for frugal 12-24 months. It may be nice.
About 35 months time to draw the pensions.
Yes, I am selling my car and I do have a lodger...
I will consider getting a temporary employment contract in a few months but now is a time for having no responsibilities.

As far as my investments go, they are down about 16.5% but the markets are down for more than that, so I'm hoping when
they start to recover I could end up with more than I started with. However, I don't know how many months or years that will take.
