Got called a polymath today, by a smart fella with no ERE exposure.

Ironically no idea what it meant, but pleased with the google.

What did you do that would have made the person say that?

Well he's known me as a programmer, a lawyer and now, post ERE style adventures, a board member on an animal welfare charity. It was a linked update he commented on. He's a dentist so I guess he gets less diversity in his well paid existence.

Nice man, it's always a nice boost of confidence when someone with a bit of renown comments on your own accomplishments.

That is ironic though. I've never been called that.
