I seem to always get a 500 error when posting new threads. If I go back to the forum and refresh, the post is present. I see it regularly with new threads. Every once in a while with comments.

Here is one thread from 2013 that suggests the PHP version might be the issue -- maybe the host for this forum offers multiple versions and this phpbb install is using the wrong one?

I get this occasionally when posting new threads or comments, and also when sending PMs. It is annoying (and should be investigated for that reason) but it doesn't cause an actual problem. The posts and messages always go through.

brute gets this a lot, too. only on the ERE forum.

Thought it was my satellite connection timing out, but apparently not if y'all are getting it, too.

General admin policy: Doesn't cause actual problem = unlikely to get fixed any time soon.

The forum software was updated today.

Yes, I still get a 500 error after posting.

Edit - well not on this one. It must have just been updated in the past hour.
