The boyfriend and I have successful made it to the Keys from Texas on our little 26' boat. In the process, both of us have somehow managed to poke holes in the butt of our foul weather gear. As it's pretty much useless as soon as it has the tiniest hole, anyone ever repaired rain gear? Mine are nylon with a polyurethane coat. Duct tape? Some kind of patch kit? Preferably something insoluble in salt water as I get hit with a lot of that.
How about taping over the areas with retroflective tape/patches? You can get the SOLAS marine stuff at landnavigation. I bet westmarine has it too. I don't know how long it's going to last when you're sitting on it.
I bought a container of tent repair tape to fix some pinholes in our tent and I have to say I wish I wouldn't have left these holey pants with the boat when we sold her. I bet the tent repair tape would have worked just as well on them.
