Distraction mode release a whole lot more dopamine, endorphins, and oxytocin than existential dread.
Currently I'm all for letting my body make my dope for me. It's much cheaper than buying it on the market. And not yet regulated by law...

Fun fact, oxytocin also brings on birth contractions aka the most painful experiences humans go through on a kind of regular basis.
Another fun thought for distraction mode, orgasms equivalent to intense pain? The faces and sounds are somewhat similar.
Good work on your savings rate brute. External validation +1 if you care.

How Brute distract these days? Work seem distracting enough, but otherwise?

Arousal masks pain. Tension increases orgasm. You can hot wire or short-circuit nerve clusters (I'm not sure if this is biologically accurate, but something like that) so that erogenous zones float to new spots on your body. You can't tickle yourself.

3.7 years of expenses
brute has decided to drop the weird ratio he was tracking before as he found it meaningless. because the portfolio got bigger, it simply started to measure volatility. volatility was very high.

I never understood that ratio you were using. It was confusing. Years expenses makes sense.
Congrats on 3.7 years.

Your strategies are devastatingly effective. Truly the following poem is about your glorious march to FI:
And I wait for the men who will win me -- and I will not be won in a day;
And I will not be won by weaklings, subtle, suave and mild,
But by men with the hearts of vikings, and the simple faith of a child;
Desperate, strong and resistless, unthrottled by fear or defeat,
Them will I gild with my treasure, them will I glut with my meat.

And you still made half a year's expenses in one month? Giggolo side-hustle?
