What would be some equivalent web-page and video resources for house construction/repair if I wanted to go from not knowing how to define what a house even is to how to build one, own one, rent one, repair one, sell one, etc. An ERE/simple living lean is a plus.

Hometime was probably the best for TV episodes about construction/repair. This Old House is second best.
