Check Zillow with $100k as the limit. There were many available.

A nice tiny house might not be a bad idea, so you can change locations but always still own your home. There are benefits to decoupling shelter ownership from land ownership.

A ~100k tiny house is a terrible idea from a financial standpoint. Commercial depreciation is closer to RVs than to regular stick houses. A tiny house only makes financial sense if it's cheap or you plan to stay in it forever (decades) because it's essentially priced as a consumable.
Re: What would you do with 100k?
What do you mean by tiny house ? (Edit: one of those mobile ones I see now)

Re: What would you do with 100k?
True. I had more in mind dropping 20-30k on a used but quality tiny house and then have the rest of the cash to do something else with, if coupling yourself to a specific spot doesn't fit your wog.
But also buying shelter someone else built is an unfamiliar concept to me so I probably ought not comment on it!
ETA: I guess my answer to the OP is: I'd use the money to (learn to) build shelter of some sort that is decoupled from land (and also decoupled from transportation, so, nothing with an engine in it). I'd aim to spend less than $30k on the shelter build itself as a high limit.
Then, depending on my life circumstance, I'd seek to secure at least one location where I can put the shelter that doesn't incur other high costs. (Oh, hm. This is what I actually did...)
The rest of the cash I'd invest or store in conservative accounts that aim to match or slightly beat inflation.
This is my dirtbag answer to the FU money scene in The Gambler where they give the advice to buy a boring house somewhere when you're up and sock away the rest so you can survive even a japanese economy circumstance.

Invest either in stock or skills.
If you're making below median income, consider using funds to get a STEM degree or Trade school to increase future income.
If you're making above median income already, dump money into VTI.

Re: What would you do with 100k?
You might be best served in figuring out what it is that you actually want to do or enjoy doing. So perhaps taking some of that money, say 10k and doing some exploring. This can be done in the literal sense, in traveling and viewing other styles of living. It could also be in the form of exploring new activities. Take an intensive course or a class pursuing education/skills in a new to you field where you aren't well versed.
I would avoid just buying a house because it is the standard thing to do. If that is something that you really want to do and it fits your web of goals, by all means. But I would highly recommend against doing it just because you don't know what else to do with your savings and feel like you have to do something.
You may already have what you want to do in mind, but I figure there is some uncertainty if you are asking this question.

Re: What would you do with 100k?
Seconded
There is exactly one reason to buy a house. Spoiler: it's if you have family you want to live with. Otherwise, it's just (expensive) consumption.
Re: What would you do with 100k?
As close to nothing as possible.
Re: What would you do with 100k?
Buying a house could be a good investment. It was for me, but I have no idea if it would be for you.

I’m not clear whether the OP is asking a hypothetical or is managing a windfall. If it’s the latter and €100k is significant to existing NW then this is a good resource

Personally I wouldn’t buy a house just to buy it

100k is 50% of my net worth. I would probably spend 1/3rd to fix up trash place and i'd put the other 2/3rds towards the general stash
