While I'm a fan of Bukowski's prose, I wouldn't take any life advice from him. He was damaged, bitter and very unhappy man. Perhaps his best use in terms of life advice is to treat him as a cautionary tale.

Totally agree on Bukowski... Watched one of his drunken interviews on YouTube, horrible. Writing is great though

Go hang out in Scandavia for a month and see if you can find a job somewhere. Find an Airbnb or a room for rent and take the time to look around. Looking around on the internet from Poland doesn't seem like it's going to get you very far. You have an EU passport, take advantage of it. You're going to have to do at least a little bit of work man to get started. Otherwise the pattern of just posting these dreams about exotic jobs or living off Scandavian welfare are going to continue. It's very unlikely that it is just going to fall into your lap.

I personally knew a Polish student couple who went to Scandinavia every summer to work on apartment renovations (without much prior experience, they did lighter work like wallpapering or painting) and then sustained themselves on the earnings throught the school year. If your still young and physically able, I'm sure it's something you could arrange for yourself.

Since you asked... two things.Stahlmann wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 5:14 pmI must say that simply behind this extreme shock humour online persona (at best, because after rethinking I suppose my posts are random blabbering for most, I must admit I would be interested in "performance review" from old time lurkers, because this would give me some hint who I'm, I'm the truest most to "myself" in this community, yea this will be rather "angry teenager" - I don't like this , how can I monetize this?), I think the things (mostly job related and HEALTH) lead to ... nothing.
First, adopting a system to "think before you speak" and "think before you act" would likely result in immediate improvements. The thinking is definitely there but it often happens subsequent to (impulsively?) hitting the Submit button. Thinking is therefore not put to its best use. Standard life advice is to "sleep on it" before posting or deciding. IOW, thinking must be tempered by wisdom.
The chaos strategy of acting first, seeing what happens, and responding accordingly ... makes for a---you guessed it---chaotic life strategy. Do you want chaotic romantic relationships? Do you want chaotic working relationships? Do you want chaotic online relationships? Do you want a chaotic life? This is not a rhetorical question. Some do. Many don't. Chaotic behavior is generally more tolerated in people under 25 ... however, expectations increase once you get older---more wisdom is expected. Insofar the chaotic element remains it is expected to be deliberate.
I suspect many see the internet as a game with NPCs one can interact with to resolve issues like boredom or personal frustrations. It is, however, not a game. The internet is composed of humans who are as real as your neighbors and colleagues. It's therefore not free of consequences. We have memory. Almost nobody is buying the "just a joke" excuse anymore. The internet is everywhere, so it's harder to leave the internet than it is to leave a romantic interest or even a job.
Second, consider getting an upgrade on the political software programming you've installed. People start out installing an ideology according to their temperament believing it's the One Answer to everything. A lot get it from their parents. Others get it from the internet. Then some time between the age of 10 and 30 they begin to realize that there are several kinds of "One Answer" packages and that fundamentalism is not the answer whether it's based on being libertarian, socialist, everybody return to 1950, or everybody wannabe in 2150 already. The fact is that humans are not on the same page yet and that it'll take many years before that happens. Once individuals are mentally ready, some will proceed to question their own assumptions and develop a more nuanced understanding of how the world works. If they're not mentally ready they'll attack others for being wrong, possibly for the rest of their life. It's a pretty sad sight to behold this attitude in older humans. Try not to become "that guy"! This does not mean giving up your ideals [about capitalism, welfare state, blabla, ...] but trying to find a workable compromise in the world you live in and acting on it rather than complaining about it. This rabbit hole is pretty deep. What holds people back is not realizing that it goes all the way down.

In don't know if there are many species where old males shares with young male as much as human does. Only hope is to be better than them in the current ruleset, or wait for them to die or the ruleset to change.

lol women are plate spinners naturally. It is not even malicious. They are always talking to someone else, not just you.
You are making a virtue out of neccessity. You may not currently have the options to date non-exclusively so you are making a moral issue out of it.
You don't lie. Lieing to cover up is cowardice. Just say you are dating non-exclusively.

A person who spends $40k-$50k on therapy is a disaster of a human being. Think of all the drugs and prostitutes that money would buy. What is the perpetual 3% withdrawal rate for someone who needs to pay $40k-$50k to sit on a couch while someone else tries to make you well-adapted to and contented with a dysfunctional society? The men in the group therapy sessions in Fight Club were better off getting punched in the face. You can probably find someone to deck you for less than $40k, just ask a stranger if you can borrow his phimosis stretcher or something.

@Stahlmann I think I'm similar to you in that I can't really take extended periods of employment - they mentally wear me out too much. Nevertheless, I managed to stumble thorugh years of career and into ERE money in spite of this. My method was to choose a profession with excellent payoff for effort exerted (IT), get jobs which guarantee quick advancement (in terms of skills, responsiblities), give them 100% while I'm there and quit when I've learned enough and am too burned out.
Thanks to the combination of jobs allowing for growth and me treating them seriously, my CV continually grew stronger, and I was able to go into high paying contracts relatively quickly (I didn't stop the growth mentality there though, because in IT if you're not growing, you're moving back). This is something that I can realistically recommend even to misfits such as myself who were never made for full-time work.

Why don't you become a tradesmen Stahlmann? Plasterer, bricklayer, electrician, plumber, carpenter, joiner, flint knapper, thatcher, decorator etc etc
I think it would suit you. You could pick up work as and when it suited you, well paid, work anywhere in Europe. English speaking plumbers and electricians are in high demand in Spain and Portugal, and if you turn up on time and do what you say you are going to do you will be a cut above the competition.

@Stahlmann -
You can retire early long before you physically decline
Unionism won't be an issue; foreign tradesmen just work freelance (as do most of the local ones I assume)
Remember sunk cost fallacy.
I'd particularly consider historic building trades, which are extremely sought after for specialist restoration work and can be very well paid. Thatching, flint knaping, stonemason, stain glass window restoration... I assume many of these trades exist in Poland. The hard part might be finding an apprenticeship.
