Changing habits

The last time
Slowly seeks the plane its way
far below I see dark rugged land
and in the distance a bright orange blue
the horizon
Am underway, tonight another hour added
almost november
When I arrive later on the Island
it will be dark, not cold
about 20 Celsius, I estimate
A studio is waiting there
a bed, a kitchen and a shower
The finest is tomorrow morning:
the balcony between the trees
I rent it from a friendly Cypriot
to see how there the flowers bloom, oranges grow
to see how Romans lived there once
on fine mosaic floors, delicate paintings on their walls
to sea-swim with colored fishes in clear water
For the last time because
I want fly less to use less fossil stuff..
I enjoy my home-surroundings too
be it there colder, wetter and snowier
I love the sports I can practise there.
And if I long again to Mediteranean pleasures
I close my eyes and will remember...
