They're a bit bigger than tumbleweeds, but still quite small... price tags are still big, though!

Wow, $180,000 for a tiny home? No, thanks. I can buy a full sized home down here for under 80 grand. That's just plain nuts, Portland or not.

Hey DG, people are paying $30k for a "Smart" car, so $180k for a tiny home isn't so much. ;)

$180k to live in the city isn't much, tbh. It's hard to find a vacant lot for less in Seattle.

As AlexOliver suspected, it's in a trendy neighborhood.
Cheapest regular house I could find in a quick online search was $229k for 935 sq ft 2 bed/1 bath with an unfinished basement, built in 1895 (tastefully remodeled interior). Makes $120k for the 375 sq ft studio seem about right.
Living two miles further out from downtown, however, you can find a larger house for $180k. So the question becomes how much are two miles worth to you?
