Stubbornness isn't reading the book. Stubbornness is watching all three movies after reading the book.
What a brilliant movie, from an movie Maker's perspective. It'll run forever. The royalty checks will never stop.
I'm sure that had something to do with the aging D list actors that filled the cast. Actors that really can act, if that was the goal. I couldn't find anything in all those hours that made me think making those movies was about anything but harvesting royalties, though. They even changed the cast in the 3rd part. I am guessing the royalties weren't enough to draw them back.
As miserable as it was to watch, it must have been worse to make and put one's name on.
