Perfect Days – A Film by Wim Wenders https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/perfect_days_2023
Did anyone else catch this while it was on Hoopla/Kanopy? Check out the DVD if you can find it.
It is an inspirational and beautiful film on finding joy, simple living, consistency, and humility. I loved the quiet contemplative style.
A friend recommended
Paterson when we were discussing the film. Similar aesthetic.

I actually watched it while I was in Japan. Definitely an interesting film and worth checking out.
At the same time, I went on a Bong Joon Ho kick. I rewatched Parasite, Okja, and Snowpiercer. All of them have some interesting, ERE-relevant themes regarding consumption, environmentalism, classism, and status. Highly recommended. His experience fighting with the studio over the final cut for Snowpiercer led him to creating very specific contracts for future films to retain artistic control. That ultimately led to Academy awards for Parasite.

I just listened to an interview with Jasmine Reese who took off to cycle across the United States with her dog, only $50, and limited experience on a bike.

She has an inspiring spirit and applied an ERE ethos to her adventures. Bartering for food and shelter along the way. After the US trip, she went on to cycle across Canada. At the time of the recording, she was heading to South Korea and then on to Russia to try to cycle around the world.
