Sorry for the stupid post, but what about just keeping a trimmed beard?
It’s now accepted on the workplace even in corporate environments (at least that’s the case here in Italy) and a beard trimmer costs around 25$

My beard is too thick and I already sport a goatee, mustache, and soul patch. A full beard is not pleasant for me nor does it fit my personal sense of aesthetics. ;)

I shave the lower part of the neck (that’s the part that itches for me) daily, but for that I change maybe a blade a month or less.

I'm with bigato on this - that length beard makes the sides of my face itch - cheeks specifically.

I got a Merkur 34c crew and I like using it. It provides a better shave and less irritation.
