ESTP! And I was inspired to ERE by my exgf, an INTJ. Wow, we were total opposites :)
I have to say, the relationship definitely opened my eyes to how INTJs see the world, especially since I was such a consumer.
Not really a fan of most stereotypical SP (artisan) personalities, but I suppose I bring that to the table as well. I think that it informs my decision-making style rather than my choices...

It's been some time since I have read about the personality types so I took the test "cold". It shows that I am an INTJ.

I'm an INTJ as is my husband, though he's more introverted than I am.
From the wikipedia article on INTJs "INTJs are one of the rarest of the sixteen personality types, and account for about 1–4% of the population.[2][3]"
I'm just tickled that so many people here are INTJ's, especially given how uncommon it is. I read another website that said the "rational" temperaments (xNTx) were 13% (in their sample of 22k)... so that's more common but I still have difficulty believing that so many people aren't, well, logical. Perhaps that is why I find people so baffling much of the time.

i am new here and was astounded to see many other fellow intj's - we are supposed to be RARE....
power to us....trust it to be a freethinking, anti establishment forum to bring us together...
Eventhough to us our behaviour is clearly quite normal.
Happy early retirement all.

I took the test years ago and got ENFJ. I just took the online one and I'm still an ENFJ.
Strength of the preferences %

33 88 62 33

E N F J
You are:

moderately expressed extravert

very expressed intuitive personality

distinctively expressed feeling personality

moderately expressed judging personality
Yeah, I'm extremely NF and no, people don't get it. They normally misinterpret everything to match their non-NF view.

Another INTJ to the mix. Doesn't surprise me that most here are INTJ...
And also another Paleo eater here as well :-)

Nice to meet you all!

INTJs make great ERErs because they don't feel socially compelled. As Ns they can imagine as Thinkers they are more rational and as Js they are more planners.
Other personality types have a little more challenge to adapt to extreme retirement.

I teach marketing and motivation subjects to pre university students here in melbourne (casual work). Last night I asked all the students to take the online test and tell me their types.
I decided to take the test again too...
this time i am an INFJ (not tj)
1 23 pct

n 62 pct

f 19 pct

j 34 pct
Last time my t was 3 pct....
I actually think i am more f then t when i read deaper into the types. So infj i am!

I am ESFJ. It seems like ERE is mostly populated with INTJs! I feel like an oddball. Yet this goal is emotionally important to me. I want to feel secure in my future and have time for the pursuits I enjoy most like painting and spending time with friends. While the reasoning for most people seems to be more logic and introvert based, I see how having the ability to seek my goals while I am still fairly young is worth doing.

ENFJ
E - 11 - slight extraversion

N - 38 - moderate intuition

F - 50 - moderate feeling

J - 01 - marginal/no judging
Aha, so that´s why it´s so darn hard for me to get my savings rate up - I´m not an INTJ!

I am INTJ:

Introvert(56%) iNtuitive(38%) iNtuitive Thinking(62%) Judging(22%)

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%)

You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)

You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (62%)

You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (22%)
And DW:

ENTJ

Extravert(1%) iNtuitive(81%) iNtuitive Thinking(12%) Judging(44%)
Think we will survive, now I just need to learn what INTJ means ... :) ...

INFJ here - with the introverted being the strongest (89%) component. Sounds pretty accurate!
