I came across this title through my public library's book recommendation service. They nailed this one. I liked it quite a bit.
The subtitle of the book is Understanding the New Rules of Language.
*spoilers*
The first part of the book is about language, writing, types of internet users, emojis, memes, etc. Fairly interesting stuff...did you know that in texting/casual messaging using a period might be considered passive-aggressive by some? I sure didn't. What really got me was the ending. It reminded me reading Fussell's Class with a little ERE surprise at the end. Again, spoilers, but the new metaphor of language is a network.
