@Jacob, on the McDonald's forever cup, my Dad told me about it. I think it used to be a bigger deal, McDonald's sold novelty reusable mugs and the mug included free refills indefinitely. When my dad told me about it, I showed enough interest and he ordered me 3 glass Batman forever mugs off Ebay. I have only tried to get free coffee at 1 McDonald's location in New Mexico, but it worked. My dad gets free coffee at a couple locations in Washington, but he has also been turned down at least once by a non-participating location.
Jacob, if you send me a mailing address I will happily mail you my extra mug as a gift.

Scissors can be taken as long as are less than 4 inches in length from the pivot point.*guitarplayer wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 1:51 amThat was also my first question about taking scissors in a carry on - anyone has got experience of this working? Think tent pegs cannot be taken like this, for example.
*Per TSA (US) regulations. It may be different elsewhere.

I just don't understand the TSA rules. So you can take scissors less than 4 in, but every Swiss army knife with a 3-inch blade I have tried to take on a plane gets confiscated. Meanwhile, my sister can take ~12 inch metal knitting needles on with no issues, which in my opinion can do a heck of a lot more damage.
