MBB_Boy in the house

Post by MBBboy »

Hello everyone. I’m an early 30s WL5 that’s been lurking the forum for about 6 months now after having made my way over from Bogleheads (shout out IlliniDave!). I picked up and read the book a few months ago.

My interest in ERE stems from an overlap in FI and prepping. I have hit diminishing returns in my financial game and have explored prepping in its various forms over the years. I think that ERE has elements of both and could be a force multiplier that boosts my FI / Prepping and propels me along toward my goal of building resiliency. My wife and I are soon to be parents and stereotypically I’ve found myself with a heightened awareness of risk and an even stronger sense of responsibility to provide.

My professional background is ex-military, ex-management consulting currently working a strategy job in banking. I live in the Southern US.

I’ll be pairing this intro with a journal and participation in the threads that I’ve only been reading thus far.

Nice to meet y'all
