There might not be a lot here for the person that has fully embraced and mastered the ERE lifestyle, but as a WL5 Salaryman, I found it very helpful. It gives me a starting point to answer my own question of "Where do I find the energy to do anything but my salaryman job?". Some parts of the book read a little like "this is how to be a better specialist", but many of the examples were renaissance people, and I knew it was ERE compatible/relevant when I read this:

"Deep play is a critical form of deliberate rest and an essential part of the lives of creative people. It provides a way to unify what might otherwise be disparate and scattered activities into a unified whole, a life that is greater than the sum of it's parts."

I feel like this would be a good bridge book--way easier for the salaryman to implement the sort of lifestyle recommended in this book than the one in ERE (the book), but once that is done, it seems like the jump to ERE (the lifestyle) would be a shorter one. At least that's what I'm hoping.
