tech worker, early poor health, leanfire aspirant

Post by anicca »

I had really bad repetitive strain injury issues and anxiety about them at the beginning of my career. started working on entry-level tech job that had lots of free time . I read entire mr. Money Mustache blog. new plan save $10,000 quit that job go live in Thailand for a year which will cure RSI. didnt quite work out like that although I did spend time in Thailand.

Now i have 200k, on track to spend 34k this year, make 85k after tax. RSI still an issue but managed. 30 pounds heavier then i’d like. Trying to round out my shit get off the tech job teat.

Congrats! I had to leave programming due to wrist pain. May you get out before you have permanent damage.

I'm writing now and do 80% of through dictation.

I wish you well on health.

BTW, you're FIRE'd on consumer level in many parts of the world, don't forget that :). Try to contact your ancestries, maybe you have some contacts there.

@anicca sorry to here about your struggles with RSI early in your working life, from the short intro you’ve done I can see you’ve accomplished a lot , well done.

I’m based in Asia and can always help this Thailand related stuff. Although never lived there I know plenty that have and I’ve visited multiple parts of the country 5+ times.

Nice to E meet
