But they come with a joystick! Actually, I bought a game called Star Control Origins off steam instead. It was on sale for under $10. It's like the old PC Star control/Star flight series from the 1990's, but with better graphics. A good time consuming explore and grind to find resources game. Takes the edge off my anxiety in between work shifts. I'm just waiting to get COVID-19 due to lack of PPE.
BTW you still have a top ten high score in Track and Field at that Arcade! Well, at least you did before it shut down a week or so ago. I bet they shut off the power to the games, so all high score efforts are probably lost.

I have been playing a Garden Romance themed video game in order to distract myself from constantly checking Covid dashboards.

Ran almost 9 miles. Did 25 pull ups. Fixed my gate that I wrecked with my tractor yesterday. Drank beer.

Re: What are you doing during the confinement ?
I started on a largely pointless nonfiction book project. At least I envision it as being book-length in the end. That's not necessarily out-of-character for me. I don't have all that much additional free time.
Re: What are you doing during the confinement ?
I have spent the most glorious day that I've had in ages... don't want it to end.
I am at remote house near deserted beach and elderly parents.
Just spent the day wandering around on it listening to classical radio music.
Cold but bright and beautiful...
Planning to exchange my surf boards for Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board.
Haven't a clue yet about these but sea near our house much more suited to SUP boards as hardly any waves.
Can't wait to do SUP lessons and get my own one.
What Coronovirus???

I was trying to drive through it with some stumps from the apple trees I had pushed over and couldn't see where I was going. So I whacked my gate. I may be an even worse tractor driver than I am a car driver. Which seems impossible to me.

LOL. With nice weather for the first time in over a week, it's time for me to exercise the autox car. Also looking forward to digging razor clams later this week.enigmaT120 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 3:56 amI may be an even worse tractor driver than I am a car driver. Which seems impossible to me.

Tried to ride my bike yesterday and found the rear wheel was going crooked after a few minutes of riding. Was resigning myself to dropping a pretty penny on a new surly to replace my 80s schwinn sport. Then watched some videos and determined I just needed to tighten my quick release skewer a lot more for this older bike with its derailleur hanger. Everything worked fine this morning!

Well, crap. My county closed the beaches on Friday in a manner that only those with beachfront can use the beaches.George the original one wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 10:28 amAlso looking forward to digging razor clams later this week.

Sure stay healthy but they close every place you could go to do so. I've been on a lot of empty beaches where social distancing would be easy.
At least Forest Park in Portland is open, I'm meeting my Portland friend there tomorrow for a hike. No hugs! And I even told her I would wear a mask if she wants. She's only 28 but catches every silly cold that comes along while I never get sick.
...or never show symptoms, ya I know. Now.

Re: What are you doing during the confinement ?
yep. all that sweating and huffing and puffing and spitting in public can’t be good right now.
(i exercise strictly indoors and never go out for this reason.)
could you please post a link to the study? duckduckgo isn’t helping right now.
Re: What are you doing during the confinement ?
I remember the study too, from amongst my endless reddit scrolling.
For me, even if being outside isn't required, it really helps to be able to be in the sunlight - so an open window, a balcony, etc. The situation is getting to me psychologically. Stay strong, everyone who has a hard time going through this.

Re: Anyone prepping for corona?
https://imisstheoffice.eu/ ... if you do, someone made a website with soothing office sounds
You can switch things on and off selectively, if for example, you miss the sound of the photocopier or the coffee machine more than other things.
