Number of Poverty, decline videos on Youtube

Post by stand@desk »

Just wanted to bring up the topic of just the sheer number of "decline" videos on the internet. Whether it's communities, families, malls, cities, countries, gun violence, mental health etc. There is just an unrelenting amount of theses videos (I am sure there are an unrelenting number of other videos too). But it's just so hard to succeed on this planet it seems like for a lot of folks.

Ere-minded people are able to get by with our resourcefulness capital. But it just seems like with this all this content, it's like the patient is dying and how the heck are you supposed to turn around the health of an old sick person to their 20 year old self? Is it even possible? And it seems like this theme is just getting started and has a long way to go..

Negative emotions are what people love to talk about and exploit and get into deep and dark discussion. Positive emotions are just what is it. Positive and does not normally warrant deep discussion.

Think of all the stories that end: "...and they lived happily ever after." The story ends there because no reader cares about the happily ever after part. Wouldn't get many clicks on a video that more/less says, "Everything is fine, go enjoy your life in peace." Apocalypse sells better.

I've never seen one of these videos......YouTube tends to push the type of content you already consume. Maybe start watching fluffy kitten videos?
