What happened to avatars?

I am unable to see avatars of any users including my own, with the only exception being JennyPenny's - anyone else is having this issue? I tried different devices and browsers...

Yeah I see Stahlmann's as well, but I think it's a brand new one? I still don't see my own or the pissing man's, and it's not data as it's the same on desktop.

I'm starting to think that it was a subtle way to have me get a new avatar. But I'm surprised most people only saw it as about pissing. I liked the hat and my shoulders. Someone had to tell me for me to notice that I was pissing. It makes me wan't to take a picture of me shiting for my new avatar (even though I know the bug is just a bug).

Actually it is due to a recent upgrade of phpBB. I'm not sure what exactly changed. The previous option for loading and using avatars got removed. If I have to venture a guess, linking remote images got more and more unreliable.

Jacob and I have enabled uploading a (small) image file (JPEG or PNG) for use as an avatar. These images are stored on and served from the ERE server.

As of now:

The old maximum size for Avatars was 150 by 150 pixels. It recently changed to 100x100 pixels. Avatars of users who had a 150x150 image stopped being used/shown in posts. If you want to fix yours, you can go into your control panel, save the image, change it to 100x100 and re-upload. (which I just did, and that's why mine works again now)
