Re: Eric Weinstein on selecting an arch-nemesis
I'd say it's part useful part silly and he does go off on some tangents, but I would say this goes back to narratives something both Eric Weinstein and Jordan B Peterson are quite fond of. By creating a narrative surrounding yourself and the one you deem to be in this case your "arch-nemesis" you might propel yourself to heights otherwise not achieved due to an increased motivation. Even if it is somewhat silly if it works help you achieve your goals better than it is worthwhile to spin this narrative. They both believe we can better ourselves by understanding narratives and working them into our own lives.
At least this is what I suspect he believes based on some of his other videos and discussions I've heard/seen.
