"Liberalism" as well (Centrist Balanced Moderate Progressive)

Likely because I was really jammin' on that Neutral option.
*Edit: I find it humorous that they carry the numbers out to the 0.1%... like it is so finely tuned.

Centralist, Dovish, Liberal, Progressive.
Social Liberalism. Whatever that means....
My farthest from center as on the Progressive one.
I answered neutral to many questions, particularly in the first half. Sometimes because I was actually neutral, often because "hell, I don't actually know", and others because of the structure of the question.

That's the standard "guy that's going to an expensive liberal college" results. . Just kidding... mostly.Olaz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2017 9:31 pmhttps://8values.github.io/results.html? ... 7.5&s=88.4

Mine says Centrist, which is pretty funny since I've never been accused of being a moderate on anything. Seemingly contradicting positions must get averaged out in this quiz. I guess it doesn't know how to handle gun-toting environmentalists.

I'm not surprised by the labels, but I am surprised by the general balance. Usually, I score a corner of the graphs...

Re: Where do you fall on this 4-axis political spectrum?
Another one for Social Libertarianism here.
I'm surprised I came out as progressive as I have, because lately I have noticed an internal swing in preference towards valuing localism and culture of place, I suspect that's more to do with my burgeoning ecological values rather than a desire for social cohesion and cultural elitism. I suppose there will always be room for traditionalists that don't stick to rules!

Social Libertarianism. Not surprising. Especially, considering my recent change of heart concerning healthcare.

Re: Where do you fall on this 4-axis political spectrum?
I think equality and freedom are orthogonal to each other. There is limited quantity of rights to go around for everyone. You cannot fully exercise your rights without encroaching upon someone else's. Money is a good analogy. Equality means distributing this currency of rights equally, most of these will never be used, those few that are actually useful, they'll get distributed such that there's negligible quantity available. This distribution is of course, done by force, so not much (individual) liberty there.
IOW if everyone were to enjoy the same freedoms, that freedom would be very low. Eg. A Soviet work camp or gulags.
Similarly, more freedom means higher inequality.
Economic Axis: Market
31.4% equality
68.6% wealth
Diplomatic Axis: Hawkish
69.2% might
30.8% peace
Civil Axis: Moderate
43.8% liberty
56.2% authority
Societal Axis: Traditional
61.6% tradition
38.4% progress
Closest Match: Moderate Conservatism
I don't think tradition and progress are opposite to each other.
