I would agree that "drastic changes" and "end of the world" are the same for many people, but that doesn't make it the correct definition. Though, most of the people on here are defining "end of the world" as being at least a partial collapse of society. Having to buy a Honda Civic instead of an SUV or buying a smaller house closer to where you work instead of a large house an hours drive away are not "end of the world events."
