Subject: Sprint Review: Week 33, 19/08/12.-18.

Life Goals Check

I will save up my 1x annual expenses:
- Past milestone: I will create content for 22 hrs/week. Failed
I did 17hrs of focused Pomodoro Work in 19.5hrs of blocked time, that's 87%.
I do stuff, but I think that it partly goes into the wrong direction.
I've recorded tutorials, but it's too unsteady.
Therefore I will start a 30 Day Challenge to publish one article every day with at least 1000 characters.
Why? I want to expand my audience and create a "publishing/creating content/giving value"-mindset.
I want to go from "creating" to "creating & publishing".

- Next milestone: I will publish one article every day with at least 1000 characters.

I will weigh 85kg:
- Past milestone: I'll weigh 90,3kg on a 7day average. Failed
90,5kg on a 7day average today. 87,7kg as my lowest weight so far. I had 3 Full days of Fasting.
On Saturday, I ate some stuff I normally do not eat (pasta, beer), since then I've been very bloated.

- Next milestone: I'll weigh 90,0kg on a 7day average. I plan for 3 Full Days of Fasting, because I love the productivity of these days.

I will be more proactive and on time:
- Past milestone:: Not being on time 7 times/week. Passed
I've setup two alarms at 6:30am and it is working so far, I groom and cold shower and do my cardio.
I was on time at all appointments.
I want to be more reliable walking the walk.

- Next milestone: Not being on time 3 times/week.

I will communicate more honestly, directly and explicitly:
- Past milestone: Not talking/writing honestly, directly and explicitly 5 times/week. Passed
Works great. I feel a gap between myself and other people, I perceive as being honest, direct & explicit,
because I think I'm not often in these kind of situations, where I have to stand my ground.

- Next milestone: Not talking/writing honestly, directly and explicitly 3 times/week.

---

What worked well?
- Fasting & Communicating

What could be improved?
- Too often, I need the feeling of being motivated. I have to practice to start whether I feel like it or not.

What did I do yesterday?
-

What do I plan to do today? 3-5 MITs
- full day of fasting
- 1p-30DC: write announcement
- visit a friend (bicycle)
- 2p-30DC: collect ideas
- 2p-30DC: write post
- 2p-heavy workout
- 1p-create account on two freelancing websites

What is blocking me from achieving my goals?
- nothing

---

Notes
- from now on I will add my estimated amount of pomodori to every task, because I think this will increase my awareness for the tasks
- I am testing a new schedule: MO/WE/FR: Theme: cognition, Full Day of Fasting for better mental focus. TU/TH/SA/SU: Theme: physiological, nutrition frontloading in the morning, heavy workout, more "fun/planning" business stuff
- in the past, I kept my knowledge/learning insights private. I think other people can benefit from my learnings, therefore I will publish more of them by creating content

I started using the pomodoro technique at work because of your influence and it is awesome, thanks.
Great work, bigato!
Do you use it at work/studying or in your free time?
Do you use the standard 25min work/5min break approach?

I'd suggest you don't repeat the same notes every time, it's boring and unecessary.
Thanks for your feedback,
I removed/shortened some entries.

I'm using it at work for coding, that is what requires me to concentrate. I put the headphones on, start the timer, and code until the end of the interval. For other kinds of stuff that don't require my concentration so much, I'm not using it. I started using the 25 min work, but not the 5 min break. Meaning that my breaks are longer and not measured. Stuff I do on the breaks may even be work or related to work, but don't need my full attention. I start the next pomodoro when I feel like it.
I'm very curious to see how it's gonna go, keep me up to date.

Life Goals Check

I will save up my 1x annual expenses:
- Past milestone: I will publish one article every day with at least 1000 characters. Passed
I wrote & published one article every day.
From now on, I'll have a time-block of 2hrs a day in the morning to stack up some articles for down-times.
Why? I want to expand my audience and create a "publishing/creating content/giving value"-mindset.

- Next milestone: I will publish one article every day with at least 1000 characters.

I will weigh 85kg:
- Past milestone: I'll weigh 90,0kg on a 7day average. I plan for 3 Full Days of Fasting. Failed/Passed
90,2kg on a 7day average today. I had 3 Full days of Fasting.
I think this is some rebound-effect, therefore everything is alright and I will continue with this approach

- Next milestone: I'll weigh 89,5kg on a 7day average. I plan for 3 Full Days of Fasting.

I will be more proactive and on time:
- Past milestone: Not being on time 3 times/week. Passed
Woke up every morning at 6:30am, but some slacking, especially when it's dark outside.
I will use my daylight lamp in the morning.
I was not on time 2 times (train, friend).
All my tasks are planned, but usually I get distracted by some distractions and then I am too late.
I will write a separate post about this issue.

- Next milestone: Not being on time 3 times/week.

I will communicate more honestly, directly and explicitly:
- Past milestone: Not talking/writing honestly, directly and explicitly 3 times/week. Passed
I was at three workshops, therefore I was able to meet many new people.
I had a nice date, afterwards she asked me about my intentions & I wasn't that honest.
I didn't know how to act properly.
Robert Greene talks about "Conceal your Intentions", "Always Say Less than Necessary" in The 48 Laws of Power.
I'm gonna have to think about it.

- Next milestone: Not talking/writing honestly, directly and explicitly 3 times/week.

---

What worked well?
- Fasting & Communicating (again)

What could be improved?
- Too often, I need the feeling of being motivated. I got some ideas from Jordan Peterson: If I don't do unpleasant tasks today, I will punish my future self.

Subject: Sprint Review: Week 35, 19/08/26.-01.

Life Goals Check

I will save up my 1x annual expenses:
- Past milestone: I will publish one article every day with at least 1000 characters. Success
I wrote & published one article every day. In the last few days it has been difficult to find a suitable topic, but I have made it. I'll keep it that way.
- Next milestone: I will publish one article every day with at least 1000 characters.

I will be more proactive and on time:
- Past milestone: Not being on time 3 times/week. Failed
I am unhappy & feeling insecure with my metrics, because I don't know how to measure days, where I postpone one appointment, that itself postpones another appointment. Or how I should evaluate switching two appointments.
In the end, the purpose of this goal is to reflect how much I keep to my own words/appointment etc.
Now that I've written this text, it becomes clear to me that I should count everything.

Therefore I will change my approach:
- I have a recurring schedule with all my appointments
- every evening I will adjust tomorrow's appointments (e.g. if I wouldn't get enough sleep), thereby the schedule is set in stone
- every postponed appointment counts

- Next milestone: Not being on time 10 times/week.

I will communicate more honestly, directly and explicitly:
- Past milestone: Not talking/writing honestly, directly and explicitly 3 times/week. Passed
I often forget to count it when it happens. I will try to be more aware of it.

- Next milestone: Not talking/writing honestly, directly and explicitly 3 times/week.

I will weigh 85kg:
- Past milestone: I'll weigh 89,5kg on a 7day average. I plan for 3 Full Days of Fasting. Failed/Passed
89,7kg on a 7day average today. I had 3 Full days of Fasting.
I've been watching more closely how my body reacts & I've found out, that I consumed a lot of salt at my fasting days (5g due drinking salt water), what led to water retention.

Here you can see a small trend analysis of my weight loss.
After creating this thread, my weight loss doubled, I think this is due social pressure, because I don't want to fail in public.

Image

- Next milestone: I'll weigh 88,9kg on a 7day average. I plan for 3 Full Days of Fasting. I will only have two social events this week, therefore I will have enough time to move a lot.

---

What worked well?
- Fasting & getting things done.

What could be improved?
- I get things done, but only after postponing them. Too often, I need the feeling of being motivated.
