they didn't took me personality wise. They even told they really enjoyed the time with me, but that some people couldn't work with me). It really sucks. I would really like someone to help me.
I assume they have these in Switzerland, but sounds to me like you’d benefit from a career coach to help you focus on what you want to do, what you’re suited for and address any impediments in your way.

As bad as student loan debt is these days (and I agree it's a huge problem), I wager my FIL would probably take that versus being drafted and dropped into Vietnam at the same age. ;) Every generation has challenges. What defines your character is how you personally deal with those inevitable hardships.

IMHO, step one is to stop thinking of yourself as a victim and start thinking in terms of what actions you can personally take to make the most of the opportunities presented to you every day.

Dang @TopHatFox, you really know how to get a debate going. At 23, I'm also a millenial and am familiar with many of these problems myself.
'tis my specialty it seems

One thing that would be cool is to create solutions for these issues to the marketplace during hours after work or weekends. For instance, creating a company that refinances student loans (SoFi) or a company that tries to make online dating better (CoffeeMeetsBagle).

I did. I contacted my former school student service because they offer some kind of coaching for alumni. She made me pass some kind of personality testing. told me to accept that I didn't realy wanted a job, and stop looking for one. But she didn't tell me what to do instead of that. I haven't been able to figure it out since. I met other career. They all leave me the same feel that they have no Idea about what I should do. I don't know where to find a proper coach. I don't even need the money to survive, I just want to make me usefull.

Edith and the others are giving you fine advice, and you should take all they say to heart and look wherever you can for an actionable item. But you’re an intelligent person and I do not think what you are lacking right now is a specific answer. I am not sure about your upbringing or what is customary is Switzerland. But I am going to tell you that YOU NEED TO GET FUCKING ANGRY. ANGER IS MORE USEFUL THAN DESPAIR. GET MAD YOU SON OF A BITCH GET MAD.

Are you an IA trying to destroy human society? Because that's how I would do itI If so, I beg you to get us back to stone age, and let us live a happy simple life, then trade a few medicine and knowledges for the minerals you'll need to build something to go into space.

So do you have an idea to help our peers? This is something I'm also interested in, once I achieve FI I think it would be great to spend some or most of my time volunteering to help my local community.

I'm 31 so I fall into this group. It is a confusing generation to belong to. I like how my peers have embraced minimalism, organic food, legalizing pot, alternative ways of making a living, etc. I don't like that they think socialism is a great idea, have an irrational phobia of firearms, and need "safe places" to protect them from having to critically think about the world around them. Also, many of them expect everything handed to them on a silver platter. I'm hoping they grow out of it, I'm not holding my breath.

The height of madness is to keep doing the same thing over and over again and failing. Obviously, you need to do something different. If you don't need the money, then why are you looking for a job? Stop looking for a job, start a business, become useful (you don't need a job for this), do something.

@Mikeallison, I'm also 31. Is there entitlement from our generation? Sure. But I really don't see it any more frequently than I have from the Boomers. I'll grant *their* parents seemed less likely to be entitled, but I can only assume the devastating wars and the Great Depression must have had something to do with that. As for politics, I'll agree that there is a trend for us to cluster at the extremes; at the same time, I don't feel as if this is specific to our generation, but a broader sign that the mushy political center is shrinking.

brute views it the other way around - the boomers got lucky. the generations before and after them not so much. there is no right to getting lucky.

@slsdly - The entitlement levels seem the same to me too. I think publications with high boomer readership (like TIME) have learned they can cash in with "millennial entitlement" clickbait, and it's partially driving up the meme.

@brute - How are the boomers lucky? The economic growth? Millennial seems like the generation to be in, at least to me. We got the internet and no mandatory war drafts. Although it must have been nice for "move to the coast of Florida" to be on the list of possibilities for someone's life. Whenever it gets cold and I romanticize moving to Florida, I'm pleasantly reminded that the overshoot stew is almost done cooking. Maybe you're right.

Yeah, what worked for me after the months I posted this is working full time and adding in lots of comforts to my office and bedroom. That and eliminating all social media and letting in only a handful of people (if I can even find that) to my inner circle. It’s crazy how protective I’ve become with who I let in. Classist as it may be, the larger cross section of the population fuckin’ sucks lol.

I think the next big jump in happiness would come from getting a dumb phone with only text, call, and navigtion, a new LT gf, and living within walking distance to work. I don’t know, maybe even a partial meal plan for when I don’t feel like grocery shopping/cooking.
