It couldn't. Quit on first day.
Is that a good thing? (not sure whether to say 'I'm sorry' or 'congratulations') At least you know how you feel now.

I could never go back to an office setting now (quit in dec '11). Too many other ways to make a buck if needed without being penned in.

My new at home gig is probably looking to pay less than 1/10th of my income before quitting. [..] Not sure if the ego can handle it.
brute knows the feeling. brute's ego had a certain number in mind, and anything substantially below that number, brute's ego simply couldn't handle. brute was "worth more than that" to himself.

@James Ha. A friend of mine got a job paying 105,000 euro in Dublin. She quit on day two.
