can't be fucked with inspecting 1lb of chick peas for holes
I did boil the f out of the chick peas though I didn't soak them, it's possible that if I had soaked them for a while some bugs would have climbed out of the beans and floated to the surface
in either case, i doubt the entire middle east + the nation of india had freezers so they could freeze their bugs out of their chick peas. Chances are one doesn't die.

nowhere near those regions, my great grandmother used to pick off the gorgojos from the rice. then she’d cook the rice normally.

the plan is to throw away the ones that swim up with the chickpea water and to obliviously gobble down the ones still stuck inside the chick peas

found this pic online. maybe it’s worth looking at his book. i do eat shrimp and tiny shrimp after all.
i’d pressure cook over boiling as autoclave is more destructive of pathogens but likely it’s unnecessary.
