Hi,
I used to use Adobe Professional at my old job & grew to like it. I'm seeking something with similar capabilities for managing and formatting documents but free or at least much cheaper. Does anyone have recommendations?
Adobe Professional Substitute?
Re: Adobe Professional Substitute?
Doesn't look like you ever received an answer! I'm assuming here that you're talking about the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. If so, there's Scribus (like InDesign), GIMP (like Photoshop), and Inkscape (like Illustrator).

I agree, GIMP is also a great software.

Gimp is good until you have to deal with an alpha layer for video games... there it's pretty lame.

Take a look at LibreOffice (https://www.libreoffice.org/)I've used it to edit and create PDF documents when my job didn't want to spend the $$ on buying productivity software. It's open source. I hope you find something that suits your needs - good luck!

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I'm an occasional user of Calc & Writer. Which program in Libre do you use for PDF editing?
