Here's my usual carry for my urban/rural commuting, most of this stuff stays in backpack for ease of access. Some of the smaller items will go in a frame bag though.

MET Trail Helmet
High-Vis Emergency Shower Jacket
Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag (Medium)
Puncture Repair Kit Tin
Water bottle
Petzl Pixa 3 (head torch for dog walking in woods)
Arc'teryx Beta AR Waterproof Jacket
SKAGEN Mens Watch
Moto G 3rd Gen
Topeak Survival Gear Box (bike tools - see below)
Inner Tube
Mini Hand Pump
Tyre Levers (robust)
CO2 Tyre Inflator and Cartridge
Mulberry Leather Wallet

Here's the content of the Survival Gear Box

This morning I stopped by the swap meet after my class. One of my regular vendors had a box full of new Black Diamond and Petzl carabiners. I bought the whole box. He also had a box full of Patagonia Nano Puff jackets but he wanted too much for those. Down at the bottom of the box of carabiners was a new Petzl Reactix headlamp along with a special case that turns the lamp into a lantern. Apparently, it automatically adjusts to the level of light needed. It is USB rechargeable. I am going to give it a try.

Nice headlamp. I'm really getting sick of how mine eats AAA batteries.

I like the pen in particular but that's no surprise since I always like the miniature stuff. One of those phone cases with some cash, a CC, and my license tucked behind the phone is all I really need most of the time (and a knife holstered somewhere). It would be nice to get my basic carry down to essentially my phone and car keys with a couple of goodies clipped to the key chain.
