Any takers on establishing a UK meetup group? If there are any lurkers not keen on posting online, feel free to PM me.

I know I'm taking a punt on this as there are not too many UK ERE forum readers from what I can gather, we may need to extend this to the MMM forum to boost numbers.

Seen as though I'm based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and the Summer is just around the corner I'm going to suggest an outdoor meeting (free!) not too far from Leeds Train Station which has good service for most parts of the country, alternatively if the weather looks poor and the numbers are low, we could meet in a nearby real ale pub or something?

So, any takers for Saturday 22nd July at 12pm @ Leeds Park Square? (A short stroll from the Train Station, directions here https://goo.gl/maps/8rzD6ZwFdbq) - date subject to change!

In terms of MMM there is already a FB group which seems to be where meetings are organised. Inevitably in london. 50/50 MMM/Monevator readers

@crazylemon, thanks for the heads up regarding MMM meetups, I don't frequent the forum. We can shift the dates if need be, I picked this date only because it's close enough to garner interest, but leaves time to make necessary arrangements.

@Bristoldude, presumably your main reservation is distance of travel?

@vexed No worries I can PM you a link to the group if you so desire, I have only (briefly) met a handful of them but seem nice. As for me, my current job works alternate weekends so my odds are never good sadly. Post August I don't even know what my shifts are!

Yeah, I'd be interested in coming to a meet up. I should be back from our road trip by July so, I'm quite likely to be around.

A bit too far for me as well although I was at York university this week which would have been close.

Hope that the meet up happens and you report back. I am already booked elsewhere that day (I organise monthly events and that is one I am involved in running) and no excuse to travel to Yorkshire given that DS is now back home for the holidays.

Well, this thread has no firm bites, (aside from you Fiddle!) I think it's safe to say we don't have numbers to go ahead in July. If anyone would like to suggest alternative dates, or take the reigns with another venue city, feel free.
