Welcome. What do you do for a living? How old are you?

Hi FBeyer,

Thank you very much. I am 36 years old and I work at a Ministry as an executive assistant. I hold a master's degree in business administration and philosophy (Copenhagen Business School) and now it's time to focus on business and economy.

If you need more information, please don't hesitate.

Have a nice weekend!

Hi Joakim,

Welcome to this forum and hope to see you next time! No, 'we' do not need more information, 'we' are just a bit paranoid after some Danish tv journalist almost stalked us at our very first meetup. Once you meet us, you will get to know that we are a bunch of nice and rather diverse people. I think you will fit right in.

So there is no way you could change your plans for Sunday and join us?

Hi, all

Is it still possible to join the meetup tomorrow In Copenhagen - if so count me in.

I'm a journalist but not into stalking, tv or telling other stuff than corporate show off ;-)

Who do I write a PM to for the address?

Really looking forward to seeing other ere-folks and especially talk a bit about investing.

/knap

Hi Eureka,

Thank you so much. With such a bad experience, precautions are needed. No worries.

I tried to reschedule for today but without luck, sorry. I'll join you next time.

I hope you had a great meeting today.

See ya!

That was bad timing, cbroenning. Today's meetup was insightful and fun, so better luck next time. Hope to profit of your tax knowledge one day.

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute with that the next time around.

Already looking forward to it.

Hi,
I love in Aarhus, so going to Copenhagen for a meetup is not really a viable solution financially. I gotta' stay frugal :)
Any chance anyone of you takes notes, have a blog, record a song about it anywhere, so that it is possible to know if anyone shared something incredibly insightful?
I run a blog on my journey towards FIRE in Denmark www.frinans.dk in case anyone is interested.

Hi supersune,

Being frugal does not mean that you have to live a boring life. You just need to be a little smart.

You are most welcome to join the next Copenhagen meetup. All you need to do is to rent a private car for the day for say 250 kr (e.g. through gomore.dk) and book your ferry tickets from Molslinjen early enough to get the 'billigbillet' discount (that is 2x249 kr). On top, you will need max 150 kr for gas, totalling 900 kr for the round trip. Then you sell 3 seats of 150 kr as shared rides each way (also through gomore.dk) and you have your 900 kr back plus a free round trip to Copenhagen. And should you manage to get 4 passengers on one or both ways, you will even make a nice profit.

Hi Aurane,

Welcome to!

We are already quite some people in Copenhagen who, too, are really excited about this.

Looking forward to reading your intro post.

Hi ERE Copenhageners,

Our next meetup is in a week! Anyone who knows any details? @rmb is everything under control? Who is coming?

Here is my suggestion for a preliminary agenda. Input most welcome.

1. Welcome to new people and short since-last-time round

2. Investing in equities, index fonds, bonds ... (anyone who has an article we could all read beforehand or who can do a little presentation to open the discussion?)

3. The ERE Copenhagen group: what do we want to do with it, format of future meetups

4. Groups
A: Housing (purpose of ones dwelling, buying, renting, sharing, subletting ...)
B: Kids (costs, kids savings accounts, raising to frugality ...)

5. Plenum: final exchange of ideas and next meeting

Looking forward!
