Looking to get rid of my well used laptop and I need an excuse to finally transfer my old data off of it.

PS: Apple no longer supports the powerpc which means you're stuck at 10.5.

Haha ... back then all the cool astrophysicists were switching to macs because OSX is BSD based and that got you linux without all the hassle---meaning it could be used as a work computer and not just a powerpoint presentation device. It was still a tragicomical affair to install linux on a laptop back then, so only the very brave went that way. Also, I gotta admit, the design is [still] stunning even compared to later powerbooks. It just feels solid compared to later models that feel more like plastic. It's like comparing an older HP calculator to a TI

Well that depends. The reason I say US only is that I know I can put this in a flat rate box for less than $25 w/o the hassle of filling out annoying customs forms.

I'm willing to entertain other solutions though. PM me with a solution if you're really interested.
