Thanks again Simplex for your hospitality!
Have a swim in the Rhine would be wonderful, as it is now pure enough. Hope to see you all.

The meetup last Saturday went ahead.

This meeting was a bit different from the first one. What did we do?
- getting to know each other. That was rather interesting to me, because the real world background of some was very different, and at the same time had many similarities.
- group discussion, mixed with personal experience about the ERE journey and plans for the future
- great food, prepared by everybody
- short cycle tour to the river Rhine for a quick swim
- afterparty in the garden with continuing discussion until it became dark

Looking back, meeting J_ and Ru Be again was great. We could compare how we had fared since the last meetup. And meeting the new participants opened my eyes towards different choices and lifestyles.
Thank you for coming!

It sounds like you had fun. And it sounds like it was interesting. Sorry that I couldn't be there.

I came here to update you on my mother-in-law (who is 76 years old): it turns out that she has a relatively benign cancer type of which only few people die. Most people die with it, not because of it. We're glad that it turns out this way. She's recovering from the surgery at home now.

Sounds like a cool meeting, unfortunately my health got in the way of attending. Hopefully next time :)

Anyone interested in scheduling another meet-up in The Netherlands? The last one was quite fun and almost a year passed by already :)

I'm also up for it.

Maybe we can meet more in the south of the NL this time, and near a train station? Perhaps Breda, or Eindhoven?

Well I live in the North (slightly above Zwolle) so preferably not :) But if everyone attending is from the south of NL this year then I guess it would be fair to have it over there.

I wouldn't even mind hosting this year though, if no other suitable location can be found everyone is welcome at my new little farm.

I'm not dutch and my dutch is pretty bad by now (I lived in the Netherlands for half a year some ten years ago)... but around Zwolle would be nearly in cycling distance (race bike, of course) I'm always amazed how many dutch people are on here and get together so often. Have fun!

Depending on the date, I'd be interested as well. :-)

If I were to host the meeting, who would join (assuming we will figure out a date)?

Again, the location would be at my 'farm' located somewhere between Zwolle and Giethoorn.

Suggestion: we could have a firepit going, maybe a BBQ, everyone could bring some food, I could bring drinks. Also we could take a walk or bike trip through the nearby nature reserve (natuurgebied). Although not impossible it is not too easy to get there solely by public transport but I assume we could pick people up from a nearby railway station or maybe some carpooling.

Edit: as for the date I suggest either saturday 1st or the 8th of september (afternoon/evening)

Since there hasn't been a reply in two weeks the suggested dates are cancelled. The offer to host remains though.

I am interested to join again, but most of September I am unable. Any possibility/interested for October 13/14, 20/21?

I'm interested! Though I live in the western part of the Randstad and Zwolle is relatively far for me, it would be very interesting to meet like-minded people. Maybe (A very big maybe) I could even be able to convince my GF to join.
