Yes Maryland. The second most educated and the fifth most expensive. Probably the most political too.

Most from Maryland will commute to DC, Baltimore, or Northern Virginia for government contracting positions and other white collar jobs. MD is also high in medical and education jobs. Other then that, state tax is fairly high and cost of living his higher than other states.
