I remember reading a post (or perhaps it was just a discussion in the comments to a post) about whether it would be feasible for everyone in the world to puruse ERE, and what the implications of that would be. Jacob if you know off hand what I'm talking about and are able to link me to that post that would be great. Thanks.

I remember some discussion of it at the end of chapter 2 in the book. There might be a blog post too, but I can't think of what to search for to find it.

I don't recall a specific blog post, but there was certainly discussion of it in the comments.
The most obvious reality is that not everybody will pursue ERE because most people are doing poorly at even pursuing normal retirement.
