I think I have the worst timing in history. I sold some Gold at 1270 because I wanted to consolidate accounts... had to wait a few days for the funds to settle and transfer.

Do not like the look of the chart and today's candle... Going to short some leveraged gold ETFs to reduce my exposure.

I don't get the technical analysis thing. When it was going down, everyone said the charts said it would go to 900. Now that it's going up everyone says it will go to 1400.

Welcome to TA world.

TA is by no means a science or anything 100% predictive. Its a visual representation of the fight between fear and greed.

But from the charts today (19/02) it's obvious ;) that gold is overbought, so expect a small decline short term 8-)

My portfolio is up 6% so far this year because of the Gold/miners recovery. Still down pretty big if you go back a full year though, lol.

The Central Fund of Canada is persistently trading at a 3% discount to NAV. CEF holds both Gold and Silver - I switched my GLD holding to it. In 2012 it consistently traded at a premium.

Any thoughts on the recent selloff of GLD, SLV & USO? Did we pass the point of no return ? Dollars appears to only be getting stronger from here.
