12/01/2018 - 32.97%. Investments are at $91,000. The aim is $750,000. Goal for next year is to increase investments while keeping the goal number the same or reduced.
Reminding myself how I calculated the previous number: $750,000 * 0.04 = $30,000 / $91,000 = 32.97% SWR

5 Month Update:

04/30/2019 - 20.34%. Investments are up to $118,000. Goal is $600,000 as I've adjusted downwards over the past five months making me realize I can live a bit less...biggest change was to my projected food budget.

I’m not sure this is a good way to measure progress. Going from 18% to 14% is a lot easier than going from 8% to 4%.

@tony, I would argue it's a great way to measure progress. Most people understand this concept. Very much like going from 4% to 3% is more difficult* than going from 8 to 4%

*this is all relative. Not all of these drops come from accumulation, but rather optimization/lowering of spending. It's not a linear progression in absolute %'s

12/01/2018 - 32.97% [$750,000 * 0.04 = $30,000 / $91,000]
04/30/2019 - 20.34% [$600,000 * 0.04 = $24,000 / $118,000]
05/22/2019 - 17.78% [$600,000 * 0.04 = $24,000 / $135,000]
11/12/2019 - 16.90% [$600,000 * 0.04 = $24,000 / $142,000]

SWR progress is slowing down. Like the mind-shift I used to draw down from $750k to $600k, maybe I can think about $500k as the next number.

@Tony. Agree that dropping further gets more difficult. The progress I made in the first two recordings were electrifying but that is because I mind-shifted down to a lower spend level. That is what makes this useful IMO. It makes me wanna think about out how to further reduce spending.
